Advantages of using The Homey in South Africa
The Homey Bridge offers the technologically adept South African market the capacity to transform an ordinary house into a smart home, integrating many cloud/non-cloud-connected devices, such as Philips Hue, Sonos, and Spotify, thanks to Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, 433MHz and Infrared. Some of its features include Homey Insights, which displays beautiful data charts of any home layout, and Homey Energy, which monitors and provides intelligent insight on the usage of energy, enabling end-users to save costs on energy.
The Bridge can automatically switch its Z-Wave frequency with a unique multi-antenna design, based on its geographical location. With the IoT market continually growing, so does the reach of this innovative hub and the integration of many more smart devices to the network. It can also connect and automate devices in a new and creative way, creating what’s called “Flows”. Flows are scenarios in Homey that do things automatically for you. For instance, having the lights turn off when the television turns on. These Flows operate in a when-and-then principle, completely bringing your house to life.
