The MikroTik cAP ac with PoE passthrough now delivers higher wireless speeds of up to 1.9Gbps. This new compact access point can also power any PoE powered device directly, without the need to lay additional power cable. This reduces network complexity and cost, for an efficiently running home or small office network.
A very performance-capable and powerful wireless access point, the cAP ac is both feature-rich and aesthetically pleasing for walls or ceilings. The concurrent dual-band wireless radio supports dual chain 2 GHz and 5 GHz in 802.11ac and legacy standards, providing 360 degrees coverage around it.
Even though the radio supports repeater mode, the two Ethernet ports give you the ability to extend your network with cables, even if PoE power is required, since the cAP ac supports 802.3af/at PoE input on the first port, and passive PoE output (up to 57V) on the second port.
The below deployment diagram will show you an example of a network with the integration of the cAP ac:
With the push of a button, the sleek cAP ac is able to transform into an inconspicuous device – the customisable mode button in the centre will turn off all lights and sounds at its default configuration but can be reconfigured to launch any RouterOS script. The device also includes two different enclosures, giving you more choice in which design you like best.
