Over the past five weeks, we have been looking at the Top 10 RouterOS configuration mistakes observed in more than 10 years of MikroTik Consultant, Andis Arins’ RouterOS experience. We close off our list with the mistakes ranked 2 & 1:
2-Waiting for hackers
1 - Admin/ No Password
The biggest configuration mistake is to leave the username as admin with no password. Many MikroTik users do not change their usernames and passwords after configuration, leaving their network open to basically everyone.
