Access Device

The below diagram will introduce the configuration Steps of searching and adding access control devices in ZKBio CVSecurity.

Through the search method, the access control devices that have been set to point to the server can be found, and the access control devices that have been searched can be added directly, which is convenient to operate.

Adding RFID Readers

RFID readers are essential components in access control systems, providing seamless and secure entry for authorised personnel. Here's how to add RFID readers to the ZKBio CVSecurity platform.

Steps to Add an RFID Reader

  1. Preconditions:
Ensure the RFID device is powered on and connected to the network. Configure the device to point to the ZKBio CVSecurity server.

  2. Server Configuration:
On the device, navigate to: Main Menu > Communication Equipment > Network Management Platform or Cloud Server Settings.
Set the IP address and port of the ZKBio CVSecurity server.

  3. Adding the Device:
Navigate to the Access Control module and select "Device > Access Control Device."
Click the "search" button to open the search box.
Click “start search” to display available access control devices.
(Optional) Modify the IP address if needed and click "Modify IP Address." The device will restart.
Click the Add button for the searched device. Configure settings as needed.
Click OK to complete the addition. The device will restart.
Close the search and add interface.

Installing the ProMA Device

The ZKTeco ProMA is a efficient outdoor access control terminal equipped with face and fingerprint recognition capabilities. Designed to withstand harsh environments with its water, dust, and vandal-proof features, the Pro MA ensures secure access control in any setting. Its support for the ZKTeco PUSH SDK protocol further enhances its versatility for various applications.

Installation Steps :

  1. Power Supply:
Use a power supply with a rating of 12V and 3A.
If sharing the power with other devices, ensure a higher current rating.

    Lock Relay Connection

The system supports both Normally Opened Lock and Normally Closed Lock. The NO Lock (normally opened when powered) is connected with ‘NO1’ and ‘COM1’ terminals, and the NC Lock (normally closed when powered) is connected with ‘NC1’ and ‘COM1’ terminals. The power can be shared with the lock or can be used separately for the lock, as shown in the example with NC Lock below:

    • For Normally Opened Lock: Connect to ‘NO1’ and ‘COM1’ terminals.
    • For Normally Closed Lock: Connect to ‘NC1’ and ‘COM1’ terminals.
    • Power can be shared with the lock or used separately.

    Wiegand Connection

The Wiegand card reader connects to the top 4 pins of the Wiegand terminal, and the last two pins are used by the Access Controller, as shown in the following figure. It sends the credentials to the device via Wiegand communication.

    • Connect the Wiegand card reader to the top 4 pins of the Wiegand terminal.

    RS485 Connection

The RS485 lets users connect to multiple readers to the device. RS485 can be connected to the terminal, as shown in the figure below.

    Ethernet Connection

Connect the device and computer software over an Ethernet cable. An example is shown below:

    Access Level

Access level groups define groups and categories of internal doors to facilitate subsequent permission assignment operations.

Setting operations include creating access level groups and adding doors to access level groups.

    Setting up user-level access restrictions

Configuring access levels is crucial for controlling who can access certain areas within your facility. ZKBio CVSecurity allows you to define access level groups, making it easier to manage permissions.

    Steps to Configure Access Levels

    1. Create Access Level Groups:
In the Access Control module, select Access Rule > Access Level.
Click New to create a new access level group.
Set the parameters for the group, such as name and description.

    2. Add doors to access level groups:
On the access level configuration page, add the doors that should be included in the group.
Save the configuration to apply the settings.
