Introducing the new UNV-Link App: Less clicks, quicker on-boarding!

UNV, a leading manufacturer of IP Surveillance solutions, has recently launched its new smartphone app, UNV-Link, available for Android and iOS. The app provides easier onboarding of cameras and other devices and, with a user-friendly interface, makes the app ideal for installers, integrators, home users, and other small to medium applications. UNV-Link offers a smooth and elegant experience.The app also offers practical remote maintenance tools, helping with fewer site visits for technical queries. Export the camera logs through the app to send to our after-sales support team to fast-track the issue.

The UNV-Link app has several main modules that can be seen on the homepage, and by only clicking once on each icon, it will take you to that specific section. The UNV-Link app supports up to 100 devices, and a user can easily upgrade devices/channels by cloud, export diagnostic information, and test network speed.

Here are some of the new features that we like from the app:

1. Adding devices – supports quick adding by QR code scanning and allows adding devices without signup for a cloud account.

2. Allows multiple users to view the same video content simultaneously through device sharing or by logging into the same account from multiple client devices. The UNV-Link app can provide permissions to certain users, to ensure they are only allowed to see what you want them to see.

3. Live View – Multi-window display, PTZ control, preset patrol, image settings, two-way audio, video quality adjustment, snapshot, local recording, corridor mode, and swipe left/right to switch live video of the previous or next camera.

4. Playback – recording search, synchronous playback, split search, playback speeds, playback of recordings saved on SD cards.

5. Device Configuration – you can configure time, image, video, audio, OSD (On Screen Display), PTZ, Motion detection, human body detection, audio detection, automatic tracking, smart intrusion prevention, disarming, customer alarm sound, recording schedule, and more.

6. Alarms and notifications

The app provides real-time pop-up notifications for you to attend to immediately. The alarms are also now easily filtered, as a user can now locate specific alarms by date or time. These alarms can also be filtered through VCA features such as the Smart Intrusion Prevention (SIP) feature to reduce false alarms and only receive alarms when it is vehicles, non-motor vehicles, and humans if the camera and NVR support it.

We are truly impressed with the UNV-LINK app and how easy it is to onboard devices, switch between live view and playback, and more especially, how simple the playback function is to use.
