Inverter Mode: When there's no external AC source, the MultiPlus inverts DC power from the batteries into AC power for your loads.​

Charger Mode: When an external AC source is available, such as shore power or a generator, the MultiPlus charges the batteries and supplies power to the loads.​

PowerAssist Mode: If the external AC source is limited, the MultiPlus supplements it with power from the batteries to meet the demand, preventing overload of the AC source.​

The device features a three-position switch: 'On' (enabling inverter and charger functions), 'Off', and 'Charger Only' (disabling the inverter function).

How do the charge states work in ESS?

  • ESS State: MPPT solar chargers operate in the 'ESS' state, indicating they are controlled by the Multi or Quattro inverter/charger via a GX device.

  • VE.Bus State: To monitor the system's status, refer to the VE.Bus State, which provides information on charging phases like Bulk, Absorption, or Float.

It's normal for the system to display a charging state even during discharging when connected to the grid.

What is auto-recharge?
